7/25/2009 - Aphelion: Phoenix Rising makes it into the Intel Game Demo finals
Aphelion: Phoenix Rising has been chosen as one of the 10 finalists in
the Intel Visual Adrenaline Game Demo Challenge in the Best Threaded Game
category. We're working hard to produce a game demo that will give players a
good impression of what the finished game will be like.
6/30/2009 - Video demo available
Wyvern Studios has released it's first public gameplay demo, click

to download it. Note that the demo occasionally skips
forward in time.
6/16/2009 - APR wins a weekly prize in the Intel
Visual Adrenaline Game Demo Challenge!
Aphelion: Phoenix Rising has won the weekly prize for having
the highest average users rating and number of user votes for the
second week of June. Thanks a bunch to all who voted!

5/11/2009 - New screens and expanded game information
We are proud to annouce additional game images and an expansion to our
About section in order to provide more infromation regarding Aphelion: Phoenix
Rising. Feel free to visit our forums if you have further questions.
9/1/2008 - New Name and Continuing Progress
Dark Omen Studios is now Wyvern Studios. Also, our company us now exploring publishing
options that may include financing the completion of our game. Refinements continue on
the game core, with intel and diplomacy sections being nearly complete.
10/24/2007 - Game Progress Update
Aphelion: Phoenix Rising has made great internal progress in the last year.
AI has been partially constructed. Fleet management has been refined and
the GUI cleaned up. Our technology tree has been reconstructed and now
contains random variations to increase replayability. Multiplayer networking
is in place and works well, though it needs a few features added.
The largest parts of the game still to be completed are diplomacy and
tactical battles (ship battles).
10/24/2006 - First Screens Available
The first 6 screen shots from Aphelion: Phoenix Rising are now available.
They include a few shots from the main menus, and most in game screens except
the diplomacy menu and ship battle interface.
9/9/2006 - Dark Omen Studios Site Launched
Welcome to the Dark Omen Studios web site. This site contains information on our game in
progress Aphelion: Phoenix Rising and our company, Dark Omen Studios LLC. We hope to use this
site to display progress in Aphelion: Phoenix Rising and interact with the gaming community.
The Dark Omen Studios web site consists of news listings, an image gallery for screen
shots from or relating to the game, and a forum for talking about the game.
